Vinyasa Yoga links movement and breath together through a series of poses to help build strength and flexibility in the body whilst relaxing the mind. During the class we will work on standing poses, seated poses and balance and finish with relaxation (svasana).
Beginners or anyone wishing for a slower practice
This is a more gentle style of yoga which is great if mobility is difficult or you are recovering from an injury or you just like to take it easy. Emphasis is on breathwork and guided relaxation.
Anyone wishing to relax and unwind
Restorative yoga is a completely different experience than most other styles of yoga.
Unlike vinyasa or Ashtanga, it is all about slowing down the body and mind through a series of poses held for a longer period of time using props to support the body. The combination of a longer holding practice, props and breathwork will allow the nervous system to relax, rejuvenate and rest.
This is an Ashtanga-inspired yoga class. It’s an athletic and demanding discipline where the yoga practice is smooth and interrupted. The class will work through variations of sun salutations, standing poses and seated poses. Focusing on safe alignment and feeling each pose in your body. Props such as a block and strap may be useful.
